For those who dont already know Anias was started by Erik Pelto and Mat Chavez in the summer of 2001. They recruited local musician and good friend James Phythian and began gigging in and around the Detroit area. James was replaced by John Mead in the Winter of 2002 and they continued on until the fall of 2003 when they called it quits after 2 years and upwards of 30 shows. Erik and Mat can still be seen gigging with there new band Prone to Panic.
